Oh, the challenge and the satisfaction of engineering parts together to complete the whole design.
Parts made of metal, glass, and plastic, along with the function of electrical lighting.
Parts that are derived from junk yards, thrift shops, or wherever.
It all comes together as “vintage space age.”
It is many childhood memories that influence and inspire. Memories of gazing at a star-filled universe or captivated by sci-fi comics and early television space programs.
With art and design being a constant part of life from early childhood to present time, the thrill still exists.
So continues the exploring and intrigue of outer space with each new project.
“There are few people who may understand,
How the designs of the mind and creations of the hand,
Can serve to soothe and calm the soul,
And fill an unexplainable part of the mind’s yearning hole”.
