“I have always been fascinated and motivated by asking questions and answering those questions with new questions. Analyzation has always been a tool that I have found to be invaluable to my process of making. It allows me to, metaphorically, pick away at surface layers of information and eventually come to a root of truth. My work consists of mixed media sculpture, focusing mostly in glass and ceramic. The work consists of levels of different narratives between the viewers’ perception, the materials being utilized, and the stage in which the work is placed. I am also interested in making narrative work that discusses political issues, environmental issues, socioeconomic issues, and psychological defense mechanisms. My body of work pushes the boundaries between truth and lie, permeance and impermanence, trash or art.”
